The Salvation Army is seeking the right person to provide specialist expertise in the development and delivery of a Territorial Children’s discipleship strategy – with specific responsibility for resourcing, equipping and inspiring Children at local centres and churches to be passionate followers of Jesus.

Key Responsibilities:

Based at Territorial Headquarters in London, with peripatetic working this post will deliver the following discipleship priorities:

  • Promoting children’s discipleship as a whole of life commitment
  • Enabling children to live out and share the gospel in their communities
  • Identifying, developing and providing resources and training
  • Prioritising junior soldiership as an expression of membership and discipleship

The successful candidate for this full-time position is expected to be highly experienced in working with children’s leaders, children and tweenagers, including development of discipleship programmes, national strategy, training, resources, outreach initiatives and experience of harnessing social media to further enhance discipleship. In addition excellent organisational and project management skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task, creativity, initiative and attention to detail are required.

£42,373 plus £2,500 London Weighting Allowance per annum
