In partnership with the Beacon Trust, this role offers a highly enthusiastic and passionate youth worker the opportunity to lead an area team and be actively engaged in both church and community environments.
You will pioneer, engage in, and develop, community based youth activities building relationships ‘at risk’ young people (10-21) supporting them to overcome challenges and live fulfilling lives. You will provide opportunities for young people to explore deepen and express their faith with particular focus on discipling young people of Linton Free Church and St Marys CofE. 2 year fixed term with probable extension; 37.5 hrs p/w Closing date: We are encouraging applications on an ongoing basis and will process them as and when they are submitted.
You will develop youth work provision in Linton and coordinate the work of youth workers operating in surrounding areas, supporting young people (aged 10-21) to overcome challenge, live fulfilling lives and inspire change in the world around them. You will work as part of a team of youth workers and volunteers to deliver detached sessions, one-to-one work, young people-led group activities, open access youth clubs, school based early intervention and transfer support, alternative education work and residential experiences that enable young people to overcome disadvantage, promote inclusion and develop personal, social and spiritual well-being. This work will be delivered in partnership with The Beacon Youth Trust, a Christian charity, established and supported by the churches of Linton (Cambridgeshire) and by other local people.
