The primary focus of this role is to provide mentoring support to children and families in the setting of a church and partnering school, as part of the Joint Venture Charity, ‘Together For Change’ (a partnership between The Church Urban Fund and the Diocese of Coventry).

The Diocese of Coventry in seeking to fulfil its Mission Purpose of Worshipping God, Making New Disciples, and Transforming Communities, is partnering with the Church Urban Fund in a combined commitment to the transformation of local communities, especially those at most disadvantage.

The primary focus of this role is to provide mentoring support to children and families in the setting of a church and partnering school, as part of the Joint Venture Charity, ‘Together For Change’ (a partnership between The Church Urban Fund and the Diocese of Coventry).

The post is part of a temporary twelve month pilot scheme in which the post holder will be gathering valuable data to support a potentially wider initiative of Family Link Workers, and thereby equipping schools and churches to support families living with disadvantage.

We are seeking someone with a vibrant Christian faith, a passion for enabling churches and schools to engage effectively in the transformation of local communities and a track record in successful and sustainable community projects.

The post holder should have experience of working with youth/children’s work in a paid or voluntary capacity, experience of supporting families in a support capacity, excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with a variety of audiences, including children, parents, teachers and governing bodies.
