Available until: 18th Sep 2017
We are a large, inclusive parish in central London, with two churches and an ‘outstanding’ parish school.
An average of 120 children attend worship in the parish each Sunday in term-time, and we also offer a monthly youth event, a weekly toddler drop-in, half-term and holiday activities and additional feast-day celebrations for children.
This is a newly-created and exciting full-time role for a communicant Christian with a confident and inspiring faith; experience of strategic leadership; qualifications in youth/children’s work and/or religious studies and excellent IT, social media and organisational skills, who will develop a cohesive and dynamic strategic vision for our ministry from birth to Confirmation and beyond.
The successful candidate will have experience of working with secondary school-age children and will look to expand our youth ministry both on Sunday mornings and more widely in the parish. S/he will also have strategic oversight of all our Sunday School groups; recruit, inspire, manage and train our team of over 70 willing and committed volunteers, engage proactively with the many diverse families who attend the parish churches and school, and develop the depth of spirituality and prayerfulness of our children’s, youth and families’ worship.
