Hub Project Coordinator – FaithAction

Salary: £26,000 - £33,000
Hours: 37.5 Hours
Location: Dagenham, LifeLine Projects Sites, with some national travel required

We are currently looking to recruit a Hub Project Coordinator who will take the lead on our Creative English Programme representing FaithAction to stakeholders, partners, funders and local leaders.

You will need to build relationships and be the point of connection for Creative English partnership hubs, monitoring delivery and ensuring that the contract is met.

The duties and responsibilities will include: -

  1. Being an Ambassador for FaithAction and the group of Lifeline charities, able to grasp and communicate our values and aims as well as articulate the benefits of different services and products.
  2. Leading the delivery teams (administrator and Trainers) to collect data, evidence and reports from the hubs and input the data into the monitoring system to ensure adequate monitoring and reporting of FaithAction programmes.
  3. Building strong relationships with the delivery locations and Creative English hubs, develop and manage continued partnerships by being the regular point of connection.
  4. Working closely with the Creative English teaching staff to ensure that Creative English Hubs are able to deliver the course effectively, in line with the ethos, and report back on the progress of the learners.
  5. Generating a culture of precision reporting for external and internal audiences, filtering information and presenting the salient points for senior managers.
  6. Visiting Creative English Hubs frequently to assess the quality of their provision, including, dip-testing paperwork, reviewing learning feedback and speaking to learners – gleaning stories that ‘sell’ the programme both to funders, interested audiences and learners.
  7. Producing reports on the work of hubs and other areas that they are involved in to help shape FaithAction’s broader work.

Creative English Trainer – Full and part time options available

Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 per annum - pro rated for part time roles
Hours: Full and part time options available 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday – 9.00 am – 5.00 pm Some evening and weekend work may be necessary
Location: LifeLine House, Dagenham, with regular local and national travel required

We are currently looking to recruit a Creative English Trainer who will train, mentor and monitor volunteer facilitators delivering the programme nationally and will deliver the Creative English programme in East London.

The duties and responsibilities will include:

  1. Training, monitoring and mentoring Creative English volunteers in their delivery of the programme, reporting back on progress to the Hub Co-ordinator – drawing on support from the Lead Trainer.
  2. Delivering the Creative English programme to learners in East London.
  3. Supporting and assessing the effectiveness of the volunteers in delivering the Creative English
  4. sessions in terms of: learner’s improvement in language skills, use of drama facilitation techniques, the atmosphere created in the sessions and the promotion of community engagement.
  5. Providing additional help and assistance to Creative English Hubs if they are at risk of not reaching their target – relating to teaching and engagement factors.
  6. Developing new support materials and session plans.
  7. Maintaining course administration responsibilities for tracking progress and also ensuring that all information is updated and ready for audit purposes.
  8. Be aware of own training and development needs and work to continually improve service delivery and team working.

Operations Manager – FaithAction

We are currently looking to recruit an Operations Manager to oversee the varied and evolving operations of a rapidly changing and developing organisation

Deputising for the National Executive Director in all aspects of the work of FaithAction. We are looking for someone who will thrive on problem solving and enable the FaithAction team, member organisations and officials to overcome presented problems.

The duties and responsibilities will include: -

  1. You will need to keep your eye on key deliverables whilst not losing sight of the overall organisation objectives and tone.
  2. Having an oversight of finance, budgets, planning and expenditure for FaithAction (Turnover £1m). Primary liaison with finance team adequate ensuring adequate controls and authorisation in place and delivering surpass. Keeping senior staff and stakeholders aware of issues and always presenting solutions.
  3. Having a can do attitude is key when dealing with a variety of internal stakeholders, balanced with an ability to break down any task for the sake of delegation as well as the ability to roll up your sleeves and get involved.
  4. Line Management of staff is key to this role. Nurturing the growth of staff, identifying their strengths and mitigating their weaknesses.
  5. Initiating and building relationships with key funding departments, sector leaders and commissioners, leaving them with a sense of confidence about your competence and that of FaithAction.
  6. Identifying and recruiting good practice organisations to the Network as well as develop and maintain successful products (e.g. FaithAction Enews, masterclass and web-based resources)
  7. Working with the FaithAction management team to identify opportunities, strategise and plan to instigate positive change both within the organisation and outside.
