Faith in Schools is an East London charity which supports the teaching of Christianity in Newham’s primary and secondary schools by providing high quality RE lessons, enabling pupils to meet a range of Christians from different cultures and denominations.
We also support churches in putting on events for schools such as the Easter Experience and Christmas Journey.
We want to appoint a manager to sustainably grow Faith in Schools work across schools, churches and communities. To manage the charity's staff workforce and contribute to the strategic and spiritual direction of the charity. The role would run the operational management of the charity to ensure that we deliver our mission with excellence to our key stakeholders in Schools, local churches and community partners. In addition, we want to appoint a manager who will be an experienced trainer to manage our national training. Responsible to the charity’s director and trustees.
Hours: Full time. 6 months temporary contract at first, with a 3-month review, which if the person appointed is successful in the role a two/three-year contract will be offered, starting March 2019.
Salary £30,000-35,343.51 pa.
A DBS advanced disclosure is essential. Along with a UK passport or valid documents to show you can legally work in the UK.
