Cambridge Heath Salvation Army Community Church is a vibrant Christian community based in the heart of Hackney and we need a competent Centre Manager to ensure the smooth running of the busy programme of community activities.

You will also have the understanding and experience to work with our Corps Leaders to help shape the direction and deliver the vision of engaging with and responding to local community needs.

As a dynamic planner and volunteer leader, you will work with an established team, ensuring that the centre is a welcoming, accessible environment for all vulnerable people within the community. You will be able to demonstrate good people skills in dealing with a variety of backgrounds and cultures and excellent communications skills in developing relationships and building positive links with individuals and groups in the local area. 

We require an efficient administrator who can maintain accurate accounting records and is IT literate. You will help maximise fundraising opportunities and promote the use of the Centre to local organisations. You will demonstrate an enthusiastic and creative approach to problem solving and project development.

You will be able to work within the Christian ethos and charitable aims of The Salvation Army and be prepared to work flexibly on occasion to meet the needs of the Centre activities. Experience of working within a lively community setting is essential. 

Salary: £26,000 pa
