URC Minister’s stipend – 7 year termed appointment, from August 2020
The new Principal will join Westminster as its life develops with exciting opportunities arising from the new organisations on our campus. This gives enhanced capacity to serve the URC and wider church and faith communities. The college has many aspects to its life: as a Resource Centre for Learning contributing to the future of the United Reformed Church; as a key member of the Cambridge Theological Federation and as part of the Cambridge academic world. Westminster sets out to be a place of hospitality for all who visit, work and stay with us.
The successful candidate will have:
• experience and understanding of the changing needs and mission of the Church;
• the spiritual maturity to lead a community of Christian disciples.
The successful candidate will be:
• an experienced minister, committed to delivering a high standard of theological education with passion, creativity and vision;
• able to lead, inspire and guide our vibrant community with imagination and flexibility;
• willing to learn from others, working as part of a team in a variety of different contexts.
Applications are invited from candidates who are ordained ministers of Word and Sacraments of the United Reformed Church or one of its partners within the World Communion of Reformed Churches, the Disciples Ecumenical Consultative Council or the Council for World Mission. Please note due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check. *
