St Michael’s Chester Square is looking for a Worship Leader to lead, resource and inspire the worship and musical life of the church.

We are a lively, all-age, cosmopolitan church in the heart of London. At our Sunday Services (10.30am and 6pm) we come together as a church family to worship God through songs and prayer, and to be encouraged in our discipleship through Bible teaching. The Worship Leader works alongside our Organist to celebrate a breadth of musical style. Key responsibilities include: regular worship planning and leading at Sunday services, managing a team of around 20 volunteers (including a potential Worship Intern) and practical duties such as maintaining equipment and databases. The successful candidate will be a committed Christian who is passionate about worshiping God and seeks to inspire and lead others to do the same. Furthermore he/she will be a skilled musician and experienced band-leader who is familiar with old and new traditions including both hymns and contemporary worship music. Desirable skills include administrative experience, good management of people, creativity and innovation.

For an application form, or if you would like to talk further about this position, please contact Gemma Scharnowski at office@stmichaelschurch.org.uk

The closing date for applications is 23 July 2018. We will expect the new worship leader to start in September 2018.
