Job Type:

Are you passionate about growing the urban church? Do you want to see people grow in confidence and reach their potential? We are looking for someone with energy and vision to lead our work on the Winn Gardens estate forwards into the next phase.

St. John’s church has worked with local people on Winn Gardens for the last 15 years. Over this time, the work has developed and grown and we now hold the contract to deliver work under the council’s “People Keeping Well” framework in partnership with Zest, a local social enterprise.

We run a variety of community activities including a foodbank, a health drop in, a youth club, homework clubs and school holiday activities.

We also have a church plant, Community Church which meets every Sunday afternoon in the Pavilion. Members of Community Church attend a weekly Bible study, and a Kids Club has been running on the estate for many years.

We recognise that opportunities to develop new work on Winn Gardens are plentiful. Through this innovative partnership between St. John’s and Zest, we are looking to appoint a leader who will take our work into the next phase.

Could this be you?
