Restore Community Church is seeking a part-time (24 hours a week) Congregation Leader to oversee the life and direction of our Enfield church plant. Duties will include leadership of the Enfield Congregation by championing and executing the mission, vision, and values of Restore Community Church, developing the Sunday gatherings, mid-week small groups and local community engagement. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Restore Enfield ·       The Leaderwould be responsible for implementing Restore vision within the Enfield congregation, and seeking to grow the congregation through helping people find their way back to God ·       They will develop and strengthen the congregation to be a family-friendly, welcoming environment, with gatherings that are accessible and relevant to the local community ·      They will further shape the strategy to engage with the local community around Winchmore Hill, in particularly focusing on children, young people and families ·       They will grow a committed core of people, who are regularly serving and investing into the vision of Restore Enfield  

2.    Sunday Gatherings ·      The leader is responsible for all aspects of delivering the Sunday morning gathering. The aim is to plan and lead weekly gatherings that help people to fully engage, encounter God and to grow in their relationship with Jesus ·      They would regularly speak, lead meetings and communicate vision at gatherings, following the centrally created Restore preaching programme  

3.    Discipleship ·      Leading small groups within Enfield, focussing on creating community within church life and empowering people to live missionally everyday ·      Develop and lead teams responsible for developing the Restore 4-step discipleship programme within Enfield:
o    Know God – establish small groups designed to introduce people to Jesus
o    Finding Freedom – liaise with the Restore Finding Freedom team leaders to assist people to discover who God made them to be and leave negative history behind
o    Discover Purpose – develop a team to lead the Discover Purpose Course material within Enfield and promote it within congregation life to enable everyone to find their calling and to serve
o    Make a Difference – oversee the development of missional connections for every small group within Enfield congregation

4.    Prayer ·      Lead the development of an Enfield prayer strategy, including leading our bi-annual times of prayer and fasting in January and September ·      Champion the wider Restore Church First Wednesday gatherings  

5.    Community Engagement ·      Develop and lead a strategy for missional outreach in the local community ·      Create opportunities to relate to families and community outside of the Sunday gathering context ·      Develop a pathway to connect people in to the life of the Restore family ·      Ensure events are focused on helping people take the ‘next steps’ towards a relationship with Jesus and be in line with the Restore vision for people to ‘Know God; Find Freedom; Discover Purpose; and, Make a Difference.’

6.    Kingdom Partnerships ·      To develop relationships with local Churches, attend Churches Together gatherings and seek to build opportunities to work together as The Church in Enfield

7.    Leadership Responsibilities ·      To lead the Enfield Leadership Team, responsible for the development and implementation of the Restore vision in the Enfield context ·      To lead the Enfield Service Teams, who are responsible for all aspects of church life (e.g. worship, kids, community etc.) ·      To line-manage the Enfield Staff Team, currently comprising part-time an Administrator/Worship Leader (24 hours) and Children’s Leader (10 hours) ·      To serve on the Restore Senior Leadership Team and participate in the wider Restore staff team ·      To develop places of interface between community and Sunday gatherings ·      To live and serve as part of the local church community

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

This is a part-time position (24 hours a week) with an annual salary of £18,000 – 25,0000. (£31,000 - £42,000 pro rata)
The role's location will be split between 8 hours a week in Loughton and 16 hours a week in Enfield. Some evening working is essential with occasional Saturday commitments. Flexi working hours are offered and negotiable at time of employment.
